Service information
Privacy notice
This notice explains how MAX VENTURES GROUP LTD, operating Master Key, collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information.
The essentials
- Your account keeps your interview, profile, supporting references and draft documents together.
- Saving an answer or uploading a reference does not start an AI task. You choose when to request AI assistance.
- AI features send the information needed for the selected task to external AI services. Read how AI uses your information and who helps us provide the service.
- You remain responsible for checking suggested information. AI output is not professional advice or an executed legal document.
- You can contact us about your information and privacy rights.
Who is responsible for your information
MAX VENTURES GROUP LTD is the operator of Master Key and the data controller for the personal information described in this notice. It is registered in England and Wales under company number 17071187. Its registered office is Maritime House, Basin Road North, Portslade, Brighton, England, BN41 1WR.
Privacy and data-rights requests may be sent in writing to the registered office, marked for the Data Protection Contact. This notice is version 1.3 and is effective from 29 September 2026.

- Session information needed to keep your account signed in.

- The family, property, adviser and other personal details you include about yourself or others in your plan.

Provide accurate information that you are authorised to share and include only what is needed for your plan. Do not include passwords, payment-card details, private keys, or other access credentials in interview answers or uploads.
How and why the information is used
Account and portal information is used to create and secure your account, save your progress, prepare documents when you request them, run completeness and consistency checks, provide support, and maintain the reliability and security of the service.
The main legal bases are taking steps at your request and performing the service agreement, the operator's legitimate interests in running and securing Master Key, compliance with legal obligations, and establishing or defending legal claims. Consent is used where it is specifically requested, including optional product updates. Creating an account is not consent to receive marketing messages.
Your continuity check
When you finish the quick check, we ask for your name and email address so we can save your answers and result and give you a private link to return to them. We store your answers, the version of the check, the dates you saved it and any request you make. The check calculates your score from your answers; it does not use AI.
Anyone who has your private result link can view that result, so keep it private. Your browser also keeps your answers and the private link so you can resume, so anyone who uses the same browser profile could open them; that browser record does not contain your name or email and is not synced to your account. On a shared computer, choose Start a new check, or clear this site's browser data, to remove it from the browser.
We use your name and email address to save your result and to respond to requests you choose to make. We do not add you to a mailing list or send marketing messages because you took the check.
- Introductions: only when you ask for one and tick the consent box, a member of the Master Key team passes your name and email address to one solicitor or one authorised protection adviser. Your answers, score and any opinion are not passed on, and Master Key receives no commission.
- Conversations: if you ask for a conversation about a co-owned estate or about selling, the founder uses your name and email address to contact you.
- Waiting list: if Master Key does not yet cover your area and you ask to be told when it does, we keep your name and email address for that purpose until then, or until you ask us to remove them.
Supporting documents and recordings
Optional files are stored in private file storage and remain available to your account as reference history. Uploading a file does not read, transcribe or analyse it, send it to an AI provider, or change your confirmed answers and existing packs. Record the relevant facts in the written interview.
A download uses a private link valid for 60 seconds and places a copy on your device. Updated uploads are saved as additional copies. Removing a file from your device or signing out does not remove the saved reference from your portal.
How AI uses your information
Each AI feature has a short data-use explanation beside its action button. Choosing that action requests the described task; visiting a page, saving an interview answer or uploading a reference does not start a new AI request. The information sent depends on the feature you choose:
- Speak your answer: the recording you stop is sent for transcription, then its transcript is sent for light wording cleanup. It is not saved as an interview answer until you choose Save and continue. See voice input details.
- Organise your answers: your confirmed written interview answers are used to suggest profile information for you to review. Supporting files and voice recordings are not sent for this step. Manual review remains available.
- Prepare your documents: your confirmed planning information and recorded source context are used to write the five documents, make one correction if needed, and check the result. A requested preparation can continue through its saved steps when you return.
- Check an official source: the selected recorded detail, its jurisdiction and readable text retrieved from the official page you choose are used to assess that detail. This does not change your confirmed profile.
Requests are processed using the AI services described below. Except for temporary voice input described below, suggestions, drafts, source references, results and the record of your request are saved with your portal. Your account password and the service's API credentials are not included in the AI task material.
Use the stop control where available to stop further steps. Stopping a task does not recall information already sent or delete earlier results. You can review your profile manually without using the organiser, and contact us about deletion or other rights. Always check AI output for accuracy with your own professionals.
Optional voice input
Choosing Speak your answer asks your browser for microphone access. Recording is visible and limited to two minutes. Stopping, or reaching that limit, sends the recording to the configured transcription service. The transcript, not the audio, may then be sent to the text-processing service for punctuation, capitalisation and filler-word cleanup. The suppliers are listed below. Existing typed answers, saved plans and reference uploads are not included in this dictation request.
Master Key does not write dictation audio or unsaved transcripts to its database, file storage or application logs. Audio is held temporarily in browser and server memory for processing; after a failed attempt, the browser may keep it in memory so you can retry. Discard it or leave the page to release it. These recordings are separate from supporting voice files you deliberately upload and save. Suppliers process requests under their own applicable retention and security terms; this is not a promise that suppliers retain no data.
Cancelling before you stop the recording discards it without sending it for transcription. Cancelling after processing starts prevents the result being inserted but cannot recall data already sent. Request-limit records contain an account identifier, request identifier and time, not recording content; records older than a day are cleared on your next accepted dictation request, and are removed when your account is deleted.
The resulting text appears in your editable answer box. Check names, figures, uncertainty and wishes before choosing Save and continue. Transcription can make mistakes; it is not a verification of what you intended. Typing remains available without using voice input.
Who helps us provide the service
We use suppliers for website hosting, account access, database and private file storage, and AI processing. Their role determines the information they handle. Hosting and security services handle website requests and technical records; account and storage services handle sign-in information and saved plans; AI services receive the task information described above when you request an AI feature.
Current service providers
- Vercel: website hosting and delivery.
- Supabase: account authentication, database services and private file storage.
- OpenRouter: routes requested AI tasks to the configured model service.
- OpenAI: converts microphone recordings into text for optional interview dictation, through OpenRouter.
- DeepSeek: the model service used for AI organisation, drafting, source assessment and optional dictation text cleanup.
Information may also be disclosed where required by law or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Master Key does not sell personal information.
Processing outside the United Kingdom
Some suppliers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Processing locations, retention and transfer arrangements depend on the service and its applicable terms. Contact the Data Protection Contact for information about the locations and transfer safeguards that apply to your information. This notice does not promise that all processing takes place in the UK.
How long information is kept
Account and portal information is kept while your account is active and for as long as it is needed to provide the service, maintain security and audit records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Optional product-update details are kept until you withdraw consent or they are no longer needed for that purpose. Continuity check records are kept while they are needed to let you return to your result and to handle the requests you make. When a verified deletion request is accepted, information is deleted or anonymised unless it must be retained for a legal obligation or the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection to processing. You may withdraw consent at any time where processing relies on consent. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
Send a request to the Data Protection Contact at Maritime House, Basin Road North, Portslade, Brighton, England, BN41 1WR. The operator may ask for information needed to verify your identity. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Security and automated processing
Master Key uses account authentication, owner-based access controls, private file storage, short-lived file download links, and service-side credentials to protect saved plans. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so keep your login details private and contact the operator if you suspect unauthorised access.
The continuity check uses your selected answers to calculate a score and recommend a next step. AI document assistance produces suggestions, drafts and checks for you to review. These features do not make a legal or similarly significant decision about you.
